1) All items are vintage, wooden pieces, unless otherwise marked. They are thoroughly cleaned, and any damage is repaired except for that those cosmetic imperfections such as light nicks and chips, that add to its character and history. If only furniture could talk, right? A custom order of a vintage piece may not be the right fit for you, IF you are expecting a factory type finish. Although I am a bit of a perfectionist and won't sell anything that I don't love and wouldn't put into my own home, you can expect some signs of hand-painting through the occasional brush stroke, and through my personal technique, which may include layering of colors, applied patina, and sometimes distressing.
2) For custom orders, I request that you please send me several photos of the type of furniture you hope to have refinished for you. These can be images from my shop, from Pinterest boards, the internet, etc. This and great communication will help me to understand what you're hoping to obtain.
3) Custom orders where I need to curate and redesign a unique, large piece may take up to 5-6 months, and MAYBE longer if the item you're searching for is very unique. Pieces that are more common can be estimated to take 3-4 months to curate and refinish and have ready to ship.
4) For payment, about 60% of the listing price is due at the time of purchasing the listing. The balance and any extra shipping fees (if applicable) will be due before the item is shipped and sent to you by invoice. The down payment is non-refundable, with the exception that you will receive a refund if I am unable to obtain the item you desire. If I don't think an item will be a guaranteed find, I will pass on the custom order. But may reach out to you if I do come across a specific piece you were looking for to see if you are still interested.
5) At the time of reaching out about a possible custom order, please send me the following information to help assist the communication process along: A) The desired piece and any features it may need, such as shelving (how many), hanging bar for clothing, etc. B) Your name, email and or phone number to better communicate and your zip code. C) The time frame you need the item. D) Colors and style you want the item painted. E) Whether you want the interior painted and the back painted (this adds an additional fee). F) Dimension ranges. I can work with a dimension range for each measurement but cannot promise an exact specific set of dimensions for vintage furniture. G) Any other relevant info that you think is helpful or necessary.
6) All furniture items that I curate for you to redesign are in good condition with vintage imperfections. Drawers and doors will be working properly, as well as wheels will be working; hardware will be newer or refinished.
FREE SHIPPING: Your piece will ship fully insured. Please message me with your zip code so I can make sure there will not be any extra shipping fees, like those for large, populated cities like Los Angeles, New York City AREA, Manhattan, or very remote places, etc. If you live in a building that requires permission or insurance certificates, you may need to arrange for your own shipping. Your phone number WILL be required to arrange shipping with the shipper. He will need to arrange with you when he enters your area for delivery. At times, it may be necessary to have an able-body person available to assist a single shipper in unloading an item. I will be in contact with you throughout the process up to delivery to see that all goes smoothly. Please note that delivery is interior first-floor delivery. Due to drivers' schedules, shipping may take up to 6-7 weeks to arrange, although I will strive to get your item to you as quickly as possible. It may take weeks to get your piece delivered depending on where you are, as the shipper travels from location to location picking up and delivering as he travels. However, the fastest has been in less than a week! Shipping is limited to the contiguous U.S. If you are able to pick up locally, there will be a discounted price.
This piece features a soft rosey pink paint with a whitewash. The whitewash is concentrated in areas to give it more interest. the details are painted in gold that accentuates them.
There is normal wear from age that adds to its character.
