Bring your vision to life with this nightstand, ready to be transformed.
Some pieces have beautiful bones and deserve a second life. This petite vintage Neoclassical nightstand with Federal-Style details by Northern Furniture Company of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is one of those special finds. With its delicate proportions, figured wood drawer front, graceful legs, lower shelf, and charming pierced brass gallery, it offers the perfect foundation for a truly one-of-a-kind work of furniture art.
Rather than choosing a finished piece, you have the opportunity to commission a custom transformation designed around your personal style and home. The list price is for the piece as-is with free shipping to most places in the lower 48 states. See shipping below.
YOUR PIECE, YOUR VISION
Together, we can create a finish that celebrates the character of this vintage piece while giving it a fresh, artistic identity.
Possibilities include:
- French Country & Gustavian: Soft, muted colors, gentle aging, and understated elegance.
- Romantic European: Warm creams, dusty rose, faded blue, or subtle sage with delicate gilded accents.
- Artfully Aged: Layered milk paint, authentic-looking crackle, softly worn edges, and beautiful patina.
- Wood & Paint Combination: Preserve selected areas of the original wood while incorporating custom paint, glaze, wax, or metallic details.
These are starting points for inspiration. Your finished piece will be designed in collaboration with you.

HOW THE COMMISSION PROCESS WORKS
1. Share your vision. Tell me about your preferred colors, style, and the room where the piece will live.
2. Collaborate on the design. We'll discuss the finish, decorative details, and which wood or hardware elements to preserve.
3. Reserve your piece. A deposit is required before the commission begins. If you purchase this listing, that is your downpayment for the custom work to begin on this piece. Your design and project details will be confirmed before work starts. I can work within your budget. The design outcome determines the final price, minus the listing price.
4. Watch your piece become art. Your nightstand will be transformed by hand, with the layered details and individuality that make each piece unique.
PLEASE NOTE
This listing is for a custom-finish commission on the specific vintage nightstand described above, not a mass-produced item. The final design, finish details, completion timeline, and total price will be agreed upon before work begins.
Please message me before purchasing so we can discuss your vision and confirm the commission details.
